Grandiose Mascara Review!

Hello, everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday. Sunday's are always very happy days for me, as they are all about relaxing and reseting before the next week. So far today I went out to lunch with my lovely parents, followed by frozen yogurt (of course).

I recently received a gift from my friends mom. I had mentioned that I was in the market for a new mascara, so she picked this one up for me.

I am usually not the type of person to pay $32 for mascara, so this is not a product I would have discovered on my own. It is Lancome's new mascara, Grandiose Wide-Angle Fan Effect Mascara. This is for sure the most interesting mascara I have ever owned. The wand has an angle to it, in order to allow for an easy application. Here is a picture displaying the curve of the wand:

The packaging is obviously to die for. It is quite sleek and very beautiful with a rose in the top portion. The formula itself is wet, which is what I prefer. The shape of the wand makes it easier to apply, but more difficult to remove from the bottom part. You have to wiggle it a little as opposed to pulling it straight out like the average mascara.

Before I tried this mascara, I was skeptical. I have always thought that the difference between drugstore mascaras and high-end mascaras were minimal. But I was absolutely impressed when I tried out this product. I only applied one coat, to my top an bottom lashes.

Please disregard my overgrown eyebrows- I really need to get them done! Focus more on my crazy lashes! With two coats, they could most definitely pass for falsies. I would recommend it, to a friend with a well paying job. Although I think the price is a tad high, the results are stunning.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Best Facial Mask... EVER!

I recently went to Treasure Island, Florida for Spring Break, and let me tell you… It was gorgeous! The average temperature was eighty-two degrees Fahrenheit, much different from home.

While the trip was beautiful, my skin was not. My skin was used to dry weather and temperatures well below freezing, so it was in shock when I was all of a sudden in a warm, humid climate. Turns out my skin was not happy about my vacation.

I had several large breakouts appear within the first two days of being on vacation. These were the red, puffy, volcanic type. I did not pack many of my skincare products, in an effort to pack lighter. This, my friends, was a mistake. Left with only a simple cleanser and my fingers to pick, my skin was in deep trouble.

I am aware that i should both pick or squeeze or even touch these breakouts, but I had plenty of downtime to worry about these pimples, so what did I do? You guessed it. I picked and prodded each mountain on my face, and it only led to more.

Although I was not happy to leave the warm weather, my skin sure was. I have to admit though, getting back to all of my favorite skincare products was a relief.

I am going to share with you my all time favorite facial mask for my acne-prone skin…

(drum roll please)

It is none other than the Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask. Phew, say that three times fast!

This was a random pickup at Ulta. I knew I needed a new face mask (preferably mud) and didn't want to spend a lot of money. Honestly, the packaging drew me in on this one. I mean, who could pass up its bright pink modern design that is $5.99?

Anyway, it worked out well for me. After I cleanse and exfoliate my skin, I will apply this mask (about four times a week). After fifteen minutes, I can literally see oil pouring from my pores.

Pun intended.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone, as it cleared up and smoothed out my skin completely within a week.

I hope this post was helpful!
